Hurricane Florence left a trail of debris and destruction as it tore the coastal Carolinas late last week.

This video, filmed in Fort Mill, South Carolina on September 16, a Gulf gas station destroyed after strong winds brought the roof down.

About 740,000 homes and businesses are still without power, and at least 18 people have died in storm-related incidents. The latest death involved a driver who was killed when they lost control of their pickup truck and struck a tree near Gilbert, South Carolina, local media reported.

The National Hurricane Center said Florence is still expected to produce excessive rainfall as it turns from the Carolinas over the Mid-Atlantic and southern New England early this week.
