Batata Tomato Rassa is a simple potato curry made cooking baby potatoes in a tomato puree and spices. This recipe is easy and quick to prepare and can be has with hot roti or rice. Do try it at home and share your feedback in the comments below.

Ingredients:-
1 tbsp Ghee
1/4 tsp Asafoetida
1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 tsp Fennel Seeds
Few Curry Leaves
1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
5 Tomatoes, boiled & pureed
750 grams Potato, boiled & peeled
1 1/4 cup Water
Chana Dal paste
1/4 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp Sugar
Salt to taste

Method:-
Heat ghee in a pan, add asafoetida, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds & let them crackle.
Now lower the flame; add curry leaves, ginger-garlic paste & cook till the raw smell goes away.
Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder & stir it nicely.
Now add tomato puree, increase the flame and stir it until it starts leaving water.
Add boiled potatoes, water, mix well and let it cook.
Add chana dal paste, reduce the flame and mix well.
Add garam masala, sugar, salt, mix well and give it a boil.
Garnish it with coriander and serve it hot.
