Suicidal woman brought back from the brink with 'wall of prayer'

A video of a suicidal woman being saved by a form of group prayer went viral after racking up more than 100,000 views on Facebook, and according to local sources, more than 3 million elsewhere.

The video was filmed on August 30 at Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York.

The filmer, Kwann Moore, had rushed to help a woman crying in student dorms. The girl was "screaming and crying," he said. "With objects in her hand saying how she was going to or getting ready to kill herself."

Police arrived to section her, he said, but people started to leave their dorm rooms and gather around her "like a wall", praying and telling police to leave her alone.

"These young people could have easily ignored the behaviour outside and stayed in their rooms but instead they saved this girl's life and let her know that she’s loved and welcomed on campus," Moore said. "This really touched me."
