Los Angeles City Council Moves to Ban Sale of Fur On Tuesday, the Los Angeles City Council voted unanimously 12-0 to ban on the sale of fur within city limits. The proposed ban would make Los Angeles the largest U.S. city to ban fur sales. West Hollywood and San Francisco have also recently passed no-fur ordinances. After a final vote from the City Council, the ban would go into effect two years after approval.
