Supplies were parachuted into Casey Station in Antarctica in mid-September, treating expeditioners stationed there to fresh stocks and a glimpse of the outside world. The Australian Defence Force RAAF C-17A Globemaster dropped the supplies 300 metres, which included the GoPro that filmed the drop, attached to a pallet of snowblower parts. In a post accompanying this video on Facebook, Casey station leader Rebecca Jeffcoat said it was their “first sign of life in over seven months.”“And it’s all over so quickly,” she said.
