Drunk birds causing trouble in Minnesota town

GILBERT, MINNESOTA — The police are warning residents of a town in Minnesota to beware of drunk birds flying around.
The local bird population in Minnesota has been flying "under the influence" as they have been eating fermented berries caused by the early frost, reports The Washington Post.
The birds were seen flying recklessly and flying lower than usual through traffic.
Apparently the police department in Gilbert also received reports of the drunk birds flying directly into cars and windows.
Sometimes the birds were found disoriented on the ground and needed some time to sober up.
The police explained most of the drunk birds are younger birds whose livers aren't able to handle the toxins of the fermented berries as efficiently as older birds.
