Apple to Throttle 2017 Model iPhones After All

Apple to Throttle 2017 iPhones The iPhone maker initially said the previous generation models would be safe from throttling due to
upgraded hardware. Apple formerly told Congress there was no need to slow down the smartphones to preserve battery power. The release of iOS 12.1 will slow down the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X after all. The tech giant sneakily updated its support page to prevent the change, according to 'The Verge.' iPhone throttling temporarily slows down performance speeds to make the battery power last longer. Apple introduced a cheaper battery replacement program through to December 2018 due to the fallout from Batterygate.
