Just like any other shop, a cannabis dispensary has employees on the floor helping customers find the right products. In the industry, these employees are more commonly known as budtenders, the person behind the counter, there to help consumers choose which cannabis strains and products are best for their wants and needs. Especially now that more shops are open, selling more cannabis products than ever before, it is easy for a first time customer, and even veteran, to get overwhelmed while in a dispensary. With the help of a budtender, browsing the assortment of products is less intimidating, which helps customers feel more comfortable asking questions about flower, oil, topicals, and all things cannabis.
Civilized sat down with budtenders from all over Los Angeles to learn more about cannabis culture and dispensaries in our weekly series Ask A Budtender. In this episode of the series, the budtenders discuss the true test of a budtender's skills.
