South Korea's finance minister has expressed his hopes for the nation's economic team and the presidential staff for policy to cooperate on issues like innovative growth.
Speaking at an economic-related ministers' meeting on Tuesday, Kim Dong-yeon said the meeting was the first chance for the ministers and President Moon's newly appointed chief of staff for policy, Kim Soo-hyun, to meet and talk about economic issues.
Minister Kim, who is set to be replaced by Hong Nam-ki as part of a cabinet reshuffle, emphasized the importance of continuously supporting innovative companies, saying these can foster economic growth and boost employment.
