Several fire departments were called to a mansion fire in a gated community in Chandler, Arizona, on early Thursday morning.
The fire was reeported at 3 am when resident Julie Khalaj went downstairs to let the family's dogso ut, and noticeed she was having a hard time breathing. She, her husband, mother and son evacuated safely before the entire home was engulfed.
Firefighters went on the defensive, fighting the massive blaze from the outside as it was too dangerous to be inside the house. Two ladder trucks streamed hundreds of gallons of water.
The house was unable to be saved due to the strength of the fire. Local authorities report that nobody was injured.
