Jimmy Dean Sausage Links Recalled Over Pieces of Metal According to the FDA, more than 29,000 pounds of frozen food may be affected. No injuries have yet been reported to the U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service. Five consumer complaints about Jimmy Dean's foods containing metal prompted the recall. The recalled sausages involve 23.4-ounce pouches of "Jimmy Dean Heat 'n' Serve Original Sausage Links with a "use-by" date of January 31. Affected products contain the code A6382168 and have a time stamp of 11:58 through 01:49. The links were packaged in August 2018 and then shipped to a Tennessee facility as well as retail stores. The USDA says its concerned some of the recalled sausages may already be in consumers' freezers.
