Germany completes new visitor centre on Museum Island

Berlin has completed a new addition to its Museum Island complex with the opening of the James Simon Gallery, a visitor centre between the reconstructed Neues Museum and the Pergamon Museum. Designed by British architect David Chipperfield, it aims to provide a better access to the museums located on the island, and is expected to open to the public during Summer 2019.
