How far will you go for an internet meme? Netflix’s “Bird Box” has quickly become one of the streaming site’s most popular films. That is, if you trust Netflix’s own figures, which say more than 45 million streamed the film.

The Sandra Bullock-starring movie is set in a dystopia wherein blindfolding oneself while outdoors is the only way to stay safe from avoiding certain death. So, of course, since the internet has become a parody of itself, a meme has emerged called the “Bird Box” challenge. Basically, people are wearing blindfolds and doing very dumb things.

Some folks are doing harmless tasks, like eating blindfolded. Other vloggers have been attempting to be blind for an entire 24 hours.

But it’s the videos of people handling toddlers that show how dangerous this can be. Netflix issued a statement on Twitter about the debacle.
