Torres an 'icon and idol' of Atletico - Simeone

Atletico manager Diego Simeone said on Wednesday (April 11) his star striker Fernando Torres is an "icon" of the club, as reports emerge about his potential move to MLS. Simeone did not add to the speculation but merely said "for now he is here with us" for the second leg UEFA Europa League quarter-final clash against Sporting Lisbon in Lisbon on Thursday (April 12). Sporting Lisbon will attempt to overturn a 2-0 deficit to Atletico Madrid.
