Fine dust rolls through Korean peninsula _ 012319

Good morning, it's another dusty day... you will need a face mask on your way out. Most of the Korean peninsula is covered with toxic smog. Levels are 2 to 5 times higher than normal levels with ultra fine dust advisories in place for parts of the Chungcheong-do and Jeolla-do Provinces. It's forecast to stay dusty until cold northerly winds blow in later in the afternoon.

Temperatures will stay on the mild side...they will be similar to just a tad lower than yesterday here in Seoul but again colder winds in the afternoon will make it feel colder than the actual temperatures so dress warmer than yesterday.

Plenty of sunshine is in store but the dust could dim the sunshine. Seoul, Daejeon and Gwangju are starting the day at minus 1 degree Celsius, Daegu and Gyeongju at minus 3.

Daily highs will range between 7 to 12 degrees Celsius... while many southern areas will see highs a tad milder hovering in the low single digits.

That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
