Las Vegas construction employment grew nearly 9 percent last year, according to the Associated General Contractors of America. That was more than double the U.S. rate of 4 percent. Developers are building housing tracts, apartments and massive projects like the 3,400-room Resorts World Las Vegas. Nationally, construction employment could have grown even more if companies "had been able to find qualified workers," the AGC said.
