EU President: Special place in hell for 'no plan' Brexiteers

European Council President Donald Tusk has sparked controversy,... after he spoke of a "special place in hell" for those who promoted Brexit without an idea of how to carry it out.
The remark came amid the continental gridlock over the lack of agreement on the UK's
departure from the European Union,... scheduled for the end of next month.
Ahead of UK Prime Minister Theresa May's visit to Brussels, Tusk said on Wednesday that he has abandoned any hope of stopping Brexit,... and that his priority is now to avoid what he called a "fiasco".
While a number of EU officials appeared to brush over the remark, his rhetoric angered Brexit-backing politicians in London, who said his comments were "arrogant" and "disgraceful."
After the British parliament voted down May's divorce deal last month,... Tusk has said the withdrawal agreement was "not open for renegotiation," although he has said a common Brexit solution may be possible.
