Turkish authorities prevent pro-Kurdish opposition deputies from marching in Istanbul in solidarity with a colleague on hunger strike to denounce the detention conditions of the leader of a Kurdish guerrilla group. Several dozen police officers equipped with riot shields surround some 40 elected officials and activists of the People's Democratic Party (HDP, pro-Kurdish) to prevent them from going down Istiklal Avenue, in the heart of Istanbul.
