Cat Lake Evokes Jordan's Principle

Cat Lake First Nation is facing a serious crisis. 87 of the 120 homes on the remote Northwestern Ontario First Nation community in Canada have mold ​problems so severe it is recommended they be demolished. Children and Elders in Cat Lake are suffering respiratory ailments and rashes as a result of living in the mould infested homes. Indigneno​u​s Services Minister Seamus O'Regan will be meeting with the Chief of Cat Lake and with AFN National Chief Perry Bellegarde to work toward solid solutions.
