ಜಮ್ಮುವಿನಿಂದ ಶ್ರೀನಗರದತ್ತ 78 ಬಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ತೆರಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಯೋಧರನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲು ಯಮನಂತೆ ಕೊಲೆಗಡುಕ ಆದಿಲ್ ಕೇವಲ ಹತ್ತೇ ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಅಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚು ಹಾಕಿ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದ. ಬಸ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 2547 ಸಿಆರ್‌ಪಿಎಫ್ ಯೋಧರು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ 350 ಕೆಜಿ ಸ್ಫೋಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತ ವಾಹನವನ್ನು 42 ಮಂದಿ ಯೋಧರಿದ್ದ ವಾಹನಕ್ಕೆ ಡಿಕ್ಕಿ ಹೊಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಪುಲ್ವಾಮಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೈನಿಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಉಗ್ರ ತಾನು ಆತ್ಮಾಹುತಿ ದಾಳಿಕೋರನಾಗಲು ಅಫ್ಘಾನಿಸ್ತಾನದಿಂದ ಅಮೆರಿಕವು ತನ್ನ ಪಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ತಾಲಿಬಾನ್ ತನ್ನ ಗೆಲುವೆಂದು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ.
