A keen metal detectorist who unearthed what looked like a chocolate coin was stunned to discover it was an Anglo Saxon gold pendant.
Rachel Carter said it was "like winning the lottery without having known what the ticket was worth" after she stumbled across the 1,500-year-old pendant - which dates back to the Early Middle Ages around 6th century.
The 41-year-old initially mistook the Anglo Saxon jewellery for "a piece of junk" when she pulled it from the ground at her friend's farm near Marshside in Kent.
