Illegal Sale of Birds

The Wildlife Protection Act clearly states that the sale, purchase of birds like Parakeets, Munias and Mynahs is illegal. But the brazenness with which these protected birds were being sold was an eye-opener of sorts. Keeping birds that aren't meant to be domesticated only cuts their life-span short. The rapid trade in the species has impacted their population immensely.
