UPA launched cash-for-food programme

The 600 rupees she mentioned, is the amount that is to go into the account of BPL families that will be a part of the Annshree Yojana which is a direct cash transfer scheme based on the Aadhar card that is to be issued to them. Sheila Dikshit has sparked off a controversy over the UPA's cash-for-food programme. At the launch of the "Annshree Yojana" in the Capital on Saturday, the Delhi Chief Minister said that 600 rupees was sufficient to buy the monthly food supplies that a family of five needs.
