India News: The Maharashtra government has suspended 36 policemen after a sting operation showed them accepting bribe to allow illegal constructions in Mumbai's Kurla area.
The sting operation, conducted by a social activist, comes in the backdrop of the collapse of an illegal building in Thane which claimed 74 lives.
The policemen are from the Nehru Nagar police station in suburban Kurla.
