Uttar Pradesh: The ruling Samajwadi Party, going all-out today against suspended IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal, besides questioning background of her family also blamed a section of the media for tarnishing the image of the Uttar Pradesh government. The Chief Minister talking to reporters after inaugurating dairy and poultry projects in the state, said the chargesheet has been served to the suspended officer and now wait for the truth to come out.

"You all know all the facts about the incident but you should also wait for the investigation report and let the government work," he asked the mediapersons. The Chief Minister was annoyed over the issue while quoting an SMS sent to him by a journalist about his eroding popularity. "The SMS said in the survey, out of 2,333 people in the country, 95.1 per cent voted against me and just 1.2 per cent supported the government's action against Durga. Some people from Bangalore also informed me that my popularity is decreasing," he disclosed.
