BCCI: Problems on a rise for N Srinivasan

BCCI: In what appears to be a setback for the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI), the Supreme Court of India has refused to grant interim stay on Bombay High Court's verdict on the board.

However, the Supreme Court has agreed to hear BCCI's plea on the matter and set further hearings for August 29.

The Bombay High Court's ruling will stay in effect until the Supreme Court makes its own ruling on the case. This means that Jagmohan Dalmiya continues to be BCCI's interim president in the absence of N Srinivasan - who stepped down for the seecond time following Bombay High Court's verdict.

The BCCI had filed a Special Leave Petition in the Supreme Court on Monday, challenging Bombay High Court's order seeking immediate stay.
