Bangaru Laxman convicted in Tehalka sting case - NewsX

Bangaru Laxman has been convicted in the Tehalka sting case. He has been charged by Delhi court under Section 7 & 9 of Prevention of Corruption Act, Criminal Conspiracy 120B. Laxman was caught on camera allegedly accepting bribe from fictitious arms dealers in a sting operation conducted by Tehelka. The case caused a nationwide sensation involving as it did a person no less than the national president of the party that was heading the Government in 2001.
