Hindu Sena violates in front of Pakistan's High commissioner's place , Political parties condemned the meeting between Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit and the separatist leaders from Kashmir on Monday just ahead of the Foreign Secretary level talks between India and Pakistan. The Congress criticised the Narendra Modi government saying it showed that the Centre has no diplomatic plan in place.

The meeting comes even as Pakistan continues to violate ceasefire time and again.

Senior Congress leader Manish Tewari said, "The BJP was vocal when it was in opposition but it is mute now. Pakistan invites separatists, their army intrudes across border, ISI attacks Indian consulate in Herat and the government is silent now."

The Biju Janata Dal said the meeting won't help the country and it was not a sign of good relation. BJD spokesperson Jay Panda said, "There has been attack on border. Whenever some talks take place between two countries to built good relation, I think they are not interested in it."

National Congress Party also agreed with the Congress and BJD on the issue. NCP leader Tariq Anwar said, "Pakistan should not do this because prime ministers of both countries are trying to make the situation better. Moreover, if it continues it may affect peace."

Members of the Hindu Sena held protests outside the Pakistan High Commission in the afternoon.

The Centre was quick to hit back to the charge. Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office Jitendra Singh said. "Our stand against Pakistan vis a vis Jammu and Kashmir is consistent and there is no change in that."

Basit will meet senior separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah on Monday evening. Shah maintained that bilateral dialogue between the two countries would not resolve the Kashmir issue as people of the state were the principal party to the dispute.

"We welcome the talks between India and Pakistan but bilateral talks cannot resolve Kashmir issue as we have seen that such initiatives always ended in failure over the past six decades," Shah said.

"Modi Ji should take this positively," he added.

He is expected to meet separatist leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Tuesday. However, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chief Yasin Malik is yet to decide if he is attending the meeting.
