Beech Bahas: AAP's fund drive loses steam

Fighting the Lok Sabha elections is likely to be an uphill task for the Aam Aadmi Party since its fund-raising drive has failed to pick up so far. The party needs around Rs 200 crore to contest the election, but it had collected only Rs 10.56 crore (5% of the target) by 8pm on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, the party started a twitter handle #Donate4CleanPolitics which resulted in online collections of Rs 5.19 lakh till 8pm through 303 donors. Sources said that efforts would be stepped up and various new fund-raising drives would be initiated soon.
