The self-styled godman Nithyananda encountered with another legal trouble. He has been accused of mixing drugs in "holy" water in the oldest religious centre in South India - Madurai Adheenam in Tamil Nadu. According to sources, M Solaikannan of the Hindu Makkal Katchi earlier had approached the police to test the quality of the 'holy' water given by Nithyananda to his devotees. But police reportedly had refused to take any action which compelled Mr Solaikannan to file the petition against the 'godman' and two other people. The Madras High Court on Friday, Jun 22 held the first hearing of the case where the government advocate claimed that the cops later registered a case under relevant sections against Nithyananda and his two other disciples.
