Delhi govt panel to examine health hazards from mobile towers - NewsX

Delhi Government has set up a committee to examine possible health hazards from radiations from mobile towers. The decision to set up the committee, comprising officials from health and environment departments, was taken at a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. "The committee will examine all aspects related to the issue," said a senior official, who was present in the meeting. The central government last week said it will implement new tower emission norms from September 1 although there is no evidence that proves any adverse health effects due to radiations from mobile towers.
