Sena, MNS not to join NDA's bandh against FDl - NewsX

The BJP has a lot hingeing on its Bharat Bandh call for the 20th, against the Centre's nod to FDI in retail and reduction of subsidy on LPG cylinders. Almost all senior leaders have been asked to be present in their allotted district to make the Bandh call a success. One report even suggests the Bandh would also serve as a test ground before Lok Sabha election. But even 2 days before the bandh, there are signs of plans going awry. At least 3 state units and allies have already come forward to they would not participate. The BJP unit in Madhya Pradesh says it cannot carry on the bandh as the Bhutan PM is visiting on that day, with the Naveen Patnaik government in Orissa giving out the same story. The Shiv Sena in Maharashtra has already opted out because of Ganesha Mahotsava.
