The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court bench dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of Union Minister MK Alagiri's son Durai Dayanidhi on Tuesday in connection with the illegal granite quarrying case. Durai Dayanidhi is among the 60 people named in the FIR related to the illegal granite mining case. Durai was the director of one of the eight mining companies implicated in the case. The police had issued a look out notice against him and several others for their alleged roles in the multi-crore granite mining scam. There have been reports that Durai Dayanidhi might have fled the country.
