Internal reason stopped Dhoni from being replaced: Amarnath - NewsX

Former national selector Mohinder Amarnath has created a flutter by openly admitting that "certain internal reason" stopped the selection committee from replacing Mahendra Singh Dhoni as Indian captain after eight successive Test defeats in England and Australia. Amarnath said there were discussions following the twin Debacles in England and then later in Australia where India were whitewashed 0-4 in both series. Dhoni was captain in 7 of those 8 successive defeats. Amarnath said and I quote.. 'Definitely, there were discussions to replace Dhoni and people were agreeing to do so but for some internal reason, it didn't happen' 'I will not like to divulge what the reasons were. But when the time is right, I will let the people of this country know about the reasons'.
