Jagan Reddy's mother meets President, demands his release

Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's mother Vijayamma knocked at the doors of President Pranab Mukherjee demanding that her jailed son be released immediately. She carried with her a petition with signatures of over one point three crore people in favour of Jagan's release from prison. Jagan's mother told the president that her politician-son is being targeted by the ruling Congress. Vijayamma said the party had organised a massive signature campaign for Jagan's release across the state and claimed one point nine zero crore people had participated in it. Jagan, who was arrested on 27th May by the CBI on corruption charges, is presently under judicial remand and lodged at the Chanchalguda Central Prison in Hyderabad.
