Sikh protesters clash with police in Faridkot

At least 15 people were on Wednesday injured, including cops, when Sikhs from various organisations clashed with police over an alleged incident of sacrilege in this district. Police used batons and fired in the air to quell the protests in which activists of various Sikh organisations were injured besides policemen. The situation is tense but under control in the district and a heavy police force has been deployed to maintain law and order.
