NewsX: CIC's order put parties under RTI Act and Answerable to People

The Cabinet on Thursday cleared the Right To Information Amendment Act and proposed that political parties should be kept outside its scope.

Earlier the department of personnel and training in order to nullify the CIC's order sought exemption for the political parties saying they are not substantially financed by the government.
