The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA has been identified as Iqbal Thekedar who belongs to Bijnour's Chandpur district. He was seen donning a garland worth lakhs of rupees while campaigning for elections.
All this while BSP supremo Mayawati continues to protest against the demonetisation drive since it was launched by PM Narendra Modi on November 8.
