The ghost of the Park Street rape case continues to haunt Tollywood, with yet another film on the subject hitting a brick wall. The censor board on Monday raised several objections to the movie 'Park Street' and sent it to the revision committee.
The film, starring Dolon Roy, Pamela, Firdaus, Amitabha and Sudip Mukherjee, is directed by Partho Mukherjee, who had played the child's character in the Tanuja-Utpal Dutt-Ranjit Mullick film 'Lal Kothi' (1978).
Agnidev Mitra's 'Teen Kanya' had faced similar objections, but scraped throu-gh to reach the theatres. But Mukherjee fears his film is in for tougher times. "The movie is on a sensitive subject and is a pretty bold attempt at highlighting the incident.
