Lucknow residents were denied entry into their favourite picnic spot on the outskirts of the city but a convoy of luxury cars zoomed in and out of Kukrail forest guesthouse on Saturday as arrested Sahara group chief Subrata Roy met friends and relatives and was attended to by a battery of servants under the watch of police officers.
Till 5pm Saturday, close to 40 visitors had met with the 65-year-old head of the Rs 68,000-crore business group at the guesthouse and home-cooked food was brought in for him. Visitors included younger brother J B Roy and sister Kumkum Roy Choudhury. A line of high-end cars and SUVs was seen parked in the compound. Sources said close to 25 vehicles had entered the guesthouse compound by Saturday evening.
