Mine blast at Tarkundi area in Poonch along LoC Kashmir
The Army said on Thursday that an explosion has killed one of its soldiers and wounded three others close to the Line of Control (LoC), the cease-fire line dividing Jammu and Kashmir.
A defence spokesman said an improvised explosive device (IED) went off Thursday in the Poonch sector which killed the army man and injured three more.
"A patrol party of Army was targeted by an Improvised Explosive Device today along LoC Gambhir battalion area," Defence spokesperson Col Manish Mehta said.
In the blast, one army man lost his life while 3 others suffered injuries, the spokesman said, adding that, the injured have been admitted to the Military hospital for treatment.
