J&K speaker makes controversial statement

Speaker of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mubarak Gul today disallowed the adjournment motion moved by Opposition PDP seeking discussion on withdrawal of cases against youth involved in stone pelting.

Amidst pandemonium, Deputy Speaker Sartaj Madni launched a scathing attack on Speaker's conduct of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly proceedings.

As soon as the house assembled, the PDP members rose to their feet and demanded suspension of the question hour and a ruling from the speaker on their motion.
