Karnataka government approves in principal transfer of Jayalalithaa
Karnataka will transfer former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa to her home state from Parappana Agrahara central jail if the neighbouring state makes a formal request, sources in the government said.
Transferring Jayalalithaa to Tamil Nadu would relieve Karnataka police and the administration of a huge responsibility. A large number of Jayalalithaa supporters have been camping outside the central jail since her imprisonment on September 27.
