Karnataka Police arrest three men for links to banned terror outfit Indian Mujahideen

Around 10 days after a low-intensity bomb blast hit Bengaluru, the Karnataka Police on Thursday arrested three people for their alleged links with banned terror outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM).

The police, however, maintained that the arrested IM suspects’ role in the recent blast has not been established yet.

“Prima facie there is no evidence linking the three suspects with the recent blast in Bengaluru, but the same cannot be ruled out. We are probing into the matter and it is still in the preliminary stage,” Bengaluru City Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi said.

Based on credible information provided by intelligence sources, the police raided the suspects' houses simultaneously in Pulikeshinagar (Bengaluru) and Jamia in Bhatkal.
