Surgery at Ambala health camp leaves 15 people blind

Fifteen people allegedly lost their eyesight after they underwent eye surgery in a health camp at Ambala in Haryana on 24 November. The health camp was organised by a charitable trust.

According to media reports, the trust was not registered with the health department. The patients were immediately shifted to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI) Chandigarh after the infection was detected.
