F-16 "Agressor" Painted In The Sukhoi Su-57's Camouflage
One of the US F-16 planes used as an "aggressor" in simulated air combat will receive a new, very special, paint scheme, namely an adaptation of the camouflage used by Russians on Sukhoi Su- 57.

Two months ago, Brigadier General Robert G. Novotny, Commander of 57th Wing of Nellis AFB, launched a social media contest.

He announced that the team in his subordinate has a problem, one of the F-16s needing a new paint scheme. This new scheme had to be relevant, threatening and very cool.

Several paint schemes have been proposed, options vary from the Chinese J-20 to the Russian MiG-29, the Ukrainian Su-27 and, obviously, Sukhoi Su-57.

The announcement of the victory was made on January 11 along with the promise that we will have pictures of the painting process as well as the finished product. Until then, we have a series of interesting examples with the F-16 in the Su-57's camouflage, but a more interesting one with the F-35 in the J-20’s paint scheme .
Under the 57th Wing, there is the 57th Adversary Tactics Group, which offers "aggressor" devices for exercises and training missions.

The United States has a tradition of aggressors, planes that they paint in the camouflage of potential enemies and which they use as opponents in various exercises and missions. The goal is to differentiate them from operating devices, and to get pilots to fight against the painting schemes of their opponents that they can face in real missions.
