Emily, a new female steam engine arrives on the Island of Sodor to help with passenger trains, she doesn't really know the railway, and so, is asked to collect some coaches and start learning the route. However, when she accidentally takes Annie and Clarabel, Thomas and all the engines soon become very cross with her, and this makes her upset.
But later, when she realises what has happened, she sets off to find Thomas, but trouble is just around the corner when she finds Henry stranded on a slip-track, with Gordon and the express thundering towards him, non-stop!
