A snake took refuge in a washing machine at the residence of a senior official in eastern India yesterday (April 10).
Snake Helpline was called for help and its founder Subhendu Mallik reached the spot in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha to rescue the snake.
Although Subhendu failed to spot the snake initially, the family claimed that the snake was inside.
Then he started dismantling the the washing machine and spotted the snake, a 6-foot-long non-venomous rat snake.
Subhendu carefully removed the snake out of the washing machine and later released it in its natural habitat elsewhere.
