The relatives and employees of late Hanjin Group chairman Cho Yang-ho sent him off on Tuesday,... after a five-day long funeral service.
The procession at Seoul's Yonsei Severance Hospital was joined by his son Cho Won-tae, his two daughters and a few thousand others who came to pay respects over the course of the funeral.
A long-time friend of Cho, Suk Tae-soo, also the CEO of Korean Air said,... he was blessed to accompany Cho on his mission of expanding South Korea's economic territory in the air and on land... and pledged that the company's employees will follow in the footsteps of their late chair.
A hearse carrying Cho's body toured around Korean Air headquarters before it was buried at his family's cemetery in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do Province.
Cho, who was born in 1949,.... turned Korean Air into a global operator.... but he died at the age of 70 on Sunday in Los Angeles... from a chronic lung disease.
