Merle Haggard is a successful country music artist, with his band The Strangers, helping to create the Nashville Sound. He has continued to release music throughout the 90s and 2000s and in 1994 was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Haggard's hits include songs such as "I'm a Lonesome Fugitive", "Okie from Muskogee" and "Workin' Man Blues".
